Default Talked with the dealer.

They replaced some cable for sure will have part number in mail once it gets here. They did not disconnect the battery.

Will post back once it arrives and have part number.

Default Part number in mail?

Part number in mail?
Could you re-explain this please.

The cable was replaced?

You are waiting for an invoice or documentation to arrive by mail describing the work done?

The Audi service manager just didn't want to give you this information?

If Audi inadvertently fixed an issue that many of us have or will have, it would be an important find. Please start a new thread when the information comes so that this doesn't get lost.

If you do find that your hunting\dropout returns, let us know. Unfortunately, this could be very likely.

Default

sounds like the classic "the check is in the mail". I hope you really do hear something from them.

Default I fear the same... I am quite frustrated with the dealer..

I swear it seems like they have their head shoved up their *** here. Like they want to shoot them self in the foot and **** off every potential customer. Its crazy I tell you I haven't seen such bad service. Ohh well cant win them all. Not like I would normally have a dealer touch my car anyway.

Mail was sent Tuesday should have gotten here Wednesday. Was not here today if I do not have it in my hand by Monday I am going to drive down there.

Default I had mine done and it did not fix the hunting, thisi is what Ive done...

I've had ITP rebuild my VB (not much difference). I just replaced the TC (no more thump).

I've also replaced the MassAirFlow & TPS along the way (did nothing).

the only thing left is the hunt

I have a 97 with the old TCM, I think its a software issue

4 second shift delay as noted in the technical bulletin. the only thing left to do is to swap out to tiptronic and upgrade to a newer TCM
