Default This is absolutely the best way to clean them. You

can change the tranny while youre at it too.

What a stupid stupid way of draining this way.
I had a feeling it was there.

For those of us who do not need to change the transmission yet, we will have to do it old fashion way.

Default Seems very simple, but the prep works looks like a real PITA

Any pics of doing the prep work (dropping the tranny)?. A simple DIY guide would be great for when the time comes.

Well, he installed it yesterday. It shifted very smooth, but the pump was very loud. He said, they probably dropped the torque converter when they disassembled the transmission. He sent the old TQ out to rebuild, it will be ready Monday. So I took the car home and park it. Today I wanted to move it to a different spot. Five seconds after I started it the noise was gone, but it would not shift to any gear. So I think the pump is gone. We going to take it out of the old transmission. Just for a joke I called Schaumburg Audi for the price on the pump. First they said, they don't sell the pump. When I told them that I know they sell it, he said o yeah, it just popped up on my screen $500, but I have to order it. So how long is take to get one? He said it's coming from Germany, it takes 2 MONTHS!!! I asked him, Is it coming in a life raft? He said, it is on back order, 21 people is waiting for the pump in US. They want to make sure, that no one get parts for the transmission, but you can't complain they don't supply parts for the car.
