The Prius is what I am looking at. Since I do a lot of city driving 60MPG seems attractive. I just don't know if it is a hassle maintaining a hybrid. I've been maintaining an A8 so nothing can be that scary

Unless, you are just a "green" person, it will cost you more. Find a comparable car with similar specs and the cost difference is so much that you will have to own the car for many years to make up the difference in gas costs.

Default Sis has Prius 1.5 yrs, no $ spent -- here's an article on upcoming performance hybrids: 0-60 in 4.3!

Default Not to mention the replacement and disposal costs for the batteries.....

The batteries in these electric/hybrid cars are an environmental disaster waiting to happen.......

Default be careful with the mileage. Last months Consumer Report shows that the EPA ratings are off..

by a mile on all cars and especially so for the hybrids. It's highly unlikely that you'll get 60 MPG.

Default Hybrids are probably ideal hurricane evacuation vehicles.

They use little or no fuel when sitting for hours in stalled traffic, and the extra weight of the low mounted batteries helps prevent overturning in 150+ mph winds

Default Randy must be a Floridian too...Just buy a TDI Golf

Good handling, decent performance, tunable, and you are already familiar with most of the parts since many are shared with Audi. Going from my GTI VR6 to the A8 was a simple transition
