I sold my 2001 Dodge Ram Sport and bought a 2001 Audi A8L with 45,000 miles on it. It's black on black with parktronic, navigation, etc. My top-choice sedan growing up reading all those car magazines!
I went into service November 26, 2000 so Audi says I have warranty coverage until November 22, 2004 or 50,000 miles. The 40,000 mile service has been done so I can still get the free 50,000.
Drives great, only a few niggling items that the dealership should be able to cover. Anyone experience any of these?
- LT recall
- steering column squeeks on movement
- driver's side armrest clasp rattles
- NAV/cupholder cover sticks
- ashtray cover tends to come off
- driver's side door seal coming off
- intermittent (1 per 20 times) clunk going from park to reverse
- front license plate cover not properly seated (corner)
- driver's side engine hood sticks up a bit
- twice a green liquid was under the car the next morning

I also have a Dodge Ram (company sold it to me for a song and it's good for hauling stuff).
Visit www.audipages.com if you haven't already.
Do you live in VA? I'll be driving my A8 to Alexandria/Arlington at the end of the year . . . .

....normally is power steering hydraulic fluid...check the resevoir on the driver's side and mark it with a grease pencil or something and make sure it doesn't go down. It should be rock steady.
Follow the hydraulic lines from the pump to the resevoir, etc and make sure they are clean and dry.
Or it could be coming from your steering rack....if so you have a warranty and can get it replaced for free.
Good luck and congrats!

carfax doesn't necessarily always catch the little fender benders and such though. there is some touchup on the front bump so maybe it was in a fender bender?

I know, crazy huh?
I did not want to be driving a honda civic or other at the time, so I figured why not. I would probably have kept the truck for a long time as a secondary car if it was 4x4 but in order to get it in under budget I had to pick between quad cab back seat/doors or 4x4 and it was pretty important for me to have more than one row of seating in the car.
What does EOM mean?
