Tranny is very accessable, and yes, I just park right on top of it.

You can move the lift around, but it's VERY heavy. I just leave it in one of the bays. When the cars are parked no one knows it's there. If your car is lowered you may meed a set of 2x10's to give yourself a bit more clearence.

What sort of mechanical safety is included?
Is there some type of a locking device to keep the lift up if the hydraulics fail?
I know of someone that was pinned under a MB 600 when their hydraulic lift went out. Not pretty.

From these two lift points and forward everything is 100% accessable

You can also get extension adapters with rubber pads for higher frame clearance

.....I haven't done car repair for a while now....have been pimpin my living room....and now I am buying a two flat that I want to flip, have 60 days to complete the work!
Most will be contracted out.....
Maybe I'll be able to get a S8 when it's all over! And a lift too!!!

Thanks Paul, I can see that we share some of the same passions.......
I'm in real estate too. And my next car is likely to either be a 02-03 S8 or a 05 A8. Happy holidays!
