I think the tone of the dealership is set at the top from the owner down.
Our owner knew that he could charge the higher per hour rate if the people performed the service correctly.
The problem with the car business (at least here in CA) is that most owners and GM's see their employees as light bulbs. They constantly replace them thus it is difficult to build long term relationships with the client and for those clients to have confidence in the ervice they are getting.
