I have verified that the tranny misbehavior goes away immediately after recoding.

The TCU allows you to turn off the DSP learning, but I believe that......
even with the DSP (Dynamic Shifting Program) learning turned off it still adapts and "learns" based on the inputs from the various sensors and the ECU. I know of no way to easily change this. I stole this from Paul's picture poster....

00012 would turn off the DSP, but would NOT be sport mode- it would still be......
the granny maximize fuel economy mode, just without the DSP. In my personal experience, I don't notice much if any difference between 00011 and 00001. The DSP doesn't seem to have much affect- the rest-of-the world 1 vs the US 2 is what gives the "sport" mode. That being said, I've never tried 00012.

Gotcha....
We have a timeline where someone sets to the code to turn the dsp off, it works, stops hunting, and then after a while it "learns" to hunt again, and then resetting the code stops the hunting and the process repeats.
The only variable changing in this instance is the transmission coding.
I wonder if we think DSP is "off" it may still be on in some limited form? Hence the idea of thinking of other codes....
