Default I just don't get it.

My '99 A8 with 104K miles. Hunting has been an issue driving me to distraction. Recently, for the past week or more, such poor behavior is not even noticed. This morning I "tried" to force the transmission to hunt. 1200 RPM TC in lock up, just a bit of accelerator pedal, the thing just pulled away without a hitch. IS the hunt is gone? Where did it go? When will it return? What will I do with the replacement valve body on the shop bench? What will I say to the supplier? Why all these questions? ;-)?

That said, with about 800 cruise control highway miles in the past week. The "thump" has arrived! No free lunch!.

On another note, Monday night 10:30, The car 100 meters ahead of mine hit a MOOSE at 80mph.

Occupants SURVIVED! the moose didn't. Peeled the roof right off the SUBURU.
Air bags! Got to love 'em.
Moose hair and glass all over! Lots of little cuts and blood, but the folks walked away! Guardian angels working overtime. Where is yours?

Cheers

Default The mysteries of D2's continued...lucky they all survived the wreck, but you're the real

lucky one because if he hadn't been leading you'd be the one eating moose for dinner!

Are you in Canada?

Luck it is! Sure and true.

"If your born to drown, have no fear of fire!"

I have since teased my young son and his buddy, the passengers in my vehicle, "That Mathematics homework save our lives". My son was doing his homework in the car on the return drive from sport training. He got hung up on the manipulation of a polynomial. Trying to help him, I'm sure to have wandered a bit, thus slowing our progress enough for the other vehicle to overtake.

Without the math homework, We would have been eating moose! OR worse!

Vermont actually.

Cheers

Default Why don't you swap the VB?

Do you have to return the core VB?

Tozo

Mostly due to your inspiration,(and consistant efforts) I do plan to change out the VB (in spite of the recent good behavior!)

I feel the effort is owed to all. Wouldn't it be nice to have a second "VB change will fix it" confirmation.

I have travel starting the end of the month,
So it looks like Mid June!.

I need to gather up the short driver bits.
I plan to replace the fluid with AMSOIL.

I know,, too many changes at once ;-)
