depends on how much of a perfectionist you wanna be with it when you are cleaning up the issues you mentioned.....sounds like you have an electrical disaster on your hands with the power windows/sunroof, etc......
The Timing Belt/Water Pump issue is a pricey one to deal with...if it hasn't been done, do it now, as AoA states a 90K interval, and most try and do it sooner (like 75K).....as far as the electronics, it'll depend on how good your tech. is working on these cars. Not many good mechanics period, even less for the A8, since not too many of them get a large volume of them to work on to get familar with them.
Best of luck to you, at least you have a good resource for info here......

...believe it or not, but it took me a couple of months to discover that my car DID have a CD changer while I thought it did not. The fact that the radio display stated "NO DISC" made me assume that the radio wasn't equipped with one. Check the side cover in the trunk on the left and keep your fingers crossed. You may find one there!

Yes you can get them and have them installed in the deck behind the seats I had the dealship do this for me. I believe that Audi will do this for free on any of their cars. Mine was done at no cost.

I use "At Your Service" car care in Clarence. Chris is the lead mechanic.owner. He's a former Audi tech, and has gone to the A8 school. He knew all about the transmission issues on these cars and did the service for me last week. I have a 2000, A8. He does parts as well.
Give him a call 716-741-3214. They are at 5844 Goodrich Road, Clarence Center. 14032
