<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/11047/1999a8.jpg"></center><p>I'm running Dunlop SP9000's on Borbet TypeBS 18x8.5.
I got the rims because of their light weight. I avoid major holes in the ground, but do occassionally hit that "patch work" every now and then.
Does anyone have any knowledgeable comments about these rims? Are they too soft? Should I look for a different type of rim?
Thanks.
BTW, PaulW, have you noticed any color wear on your seats after your die?<ul><li><a href="http://www.borbet.de/raeder-pkw/content.php3?rad=BS&uid=&ukey=&site_lg =lga">Borbet TypeBS 18</a></li></ul>

Just look at the configuration:

I guess that's why I looked for forged wheels, now I'll have three sets!
No color change yet!

BTW repaired rims are not as sturdy as fresh.
find better roads. Take into consideration that the stock rims are thick and heavy because of the weight of your car. lightweight wheels are designed for the median weight of all vehicles.
I have a bent rim right now. but its only at the lip and has no effect on the drive. Im getting it fixed actually right now.

I had mine hit a curb at 25 mph at almost dead straight but came out with only a scratch. Forged wheels are the way to go. (BTW, the scratch was fixed)
BBS - all forged.

And after owning a couple of sets of cast wheels (never with a bend problem though) I'll *NEVER* buy cast ever again. Life's too short for cheaply made wheels.

... I had kumho tires which were a soft side walled tire ( a tire rack recommendation). After a month of fighting with them they gave me a complete refund for the S0-3s with new rims all around, and all is very very well.

Forged - the liquid metal is pressurized when being made.
Cast - the liquid metal is simply poured into a cast.
Forged is stronger than cast (and more expensive).
