My Audi loves looong trips...it went from texas to washington many a times but this long trip was on a VW Passat. from 2002.

YOu know what??? the car THUMPS too!!! i was so excited to hear it...hahah...my friend was driving and she was oblivious to the sound..i was like Do you hear that do you hear that??? and she was like hear WHAT?? i was like the freakinf thump...she didnt even care...all throughout the trip i was squirming about the thump when she pressed on the gas. She replied..

"YOu insane Audi driver...you worry too much and are too picky...its a damn f***** car...just drive it and enjoy it." "Its a mechanical thing..its bound to make sounds every now and then!" I didnt know what else to say she was too agressive.

I often hear a very faint clunk and a squeak in the front right that really annoys me so tommorrow when replacing cv boot I will replace the sway bar link as well in the hope it fixes this.

Then it will be heaven again [once my trunk is repaired]
