im so emo...I mean Immo
Discovered today that my Valet key trips the immobilizer. Other than towing to the dealer (or finding my other keys) is there a way to clear out the immobilizer using VAG-COM
No, I don't have my SKC...how much hassle do dealerships give you when you call them to ask for it?

immobilizer fix notes
Thank you audipages. Some differences between my 2000 A8 and the audipages writeup: the steering nut is a triple square, not a 24mm, and they routed the immobilizer lines over the top of the ignition, and zip tied them very tightly, putting pressure on the connector at the ignition switch. It doesn't surprise me that it failed. the immobilizer is tucked way up out of sight, so I could only disconnect it, try to clean the pins, reroute and reseat the connector.
A bit of stress when I accidentally pulled open the centering switch (the one with 2 meters of white ribbon cable) but I got it back together again and it still works.
about 2 hours going slow.
