Default Initial Bi-Xenon impressions

I got them installed this past week - here's what they look like on the car:

They look completely different than stock Xenon headlights, and they appear more modern to my eye

I tried to capture the lighting differences, but these pics are kind of lame; sitting in my driveway and pointing at my garage. I compared stock '03 S8 lights w/ Bi-Xenons and also against a stock '02 911 C4. Let's start w/ stock on low beam:

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/97873/pict0004.3.jpg">

Here is stock w/ high beam:

Now to the Bi-Xenon's w/ low beam (not a big difference):

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/97873/pict0009.jpg">

And the Bi-Xenon's w/ high beam (big difference I think):

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/97873/pict0010.1.jpg">

And finally, the Porsche w/ low beams:

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/97873/pict0014.jpg">

The Porsche w/ high beams (I think better than stock, but not nearly as good as Bi-Xenons)

I'll try to get better nite pics one of these days, but I'm really pleased so far. I put the StonGard protective covers on yesterday, so I'm ready for the assault on winter driving.

Default Oops! Here are the correct initial 2 pics of the lights themselves...

Sorry about that, guys!

Default good stuff, it looks like the high's on the bi look a tad bit more focused. how's it perform while

driving and the beam flooded on the ground up ahead?

Default re: performance

I have never been able to conclude that the bi-xenons I put on my A8 perform better. When ever I get another A8 (I'm a dealer who buys and sells Audis)I always take advantage of the opportunity to compare. So, if its that hard to decide I guess the difference is small.

I still consider the money very well spent because the bi-xenons update the look of the D2 enormously! How many other forum readers made the upgrade?

Since I have one of each, I plan to do some real testing soon. They sure are bright!

Default Oh yeah? I got my smoked sidemarkers today ;-) Those look beautifuliscious Jim!

Most striking thing for me is the beam pattern. Much nicer cutoff than the stockers. Good score there. And for the wifey?
