Does anyone know where I can get an insert to fit into the european-size front license plate slot, so I can get rid of the ugly American plate holder, and have no front license plate?

Working in IT, you'll have to forgive my need to ask the obvious question here. Are you sure you don't have one in the trunk. My 98 had the factory insert wrapped in light foam at the bottom of the spare tire well. If you haven't had the spare out, you may want to look there first before buying one. If you have, then my apologies. :-)

I've been wanting to do that too. I had been told there was one in the trunk, but looking around I didn't really find anything other than the cargo net, towing ring, jack, etc. I didn't actually pull the spare all the way out though. Looks like I have something exciting to do on Saturday. =)
