Default Installed my Tozo'd TPS lastnight...still having some issues

There is a noticeable difference in taking on a hill at 30-45 now. I don't get the obvious shift between gears as before, but it still doesn't feel like it's shifting correctly. I gave a little throttle from about 15mph this morning and it felt like it skipped a gear when upshifting, then the higher gear "chattered" - that's the only way I can explain how it felt. I let off the throttle, then depressed again, and it was gone. Any Ideas?

Default Do I need to reset it somehow before it will begin learning?

BTW - I re-used my TB gasket *gasp*

It was in good shape, so I just sealed it with some Kuril K2...

Default did you make sure you positioned it correctly? it took me 3 times to get it right...

then i bitched up my TB gasket and had to buy another one! just make sure when you install it that you position it at the "clicking point"

Default Procedure for resetting the TPS

-ignition on and car not running
-slowly push gas pedal to floor over 15-20sec, hold for 5-10, release slowly over 15-20sec
-turn car off for 2-3min

Yeah - I saw your previous post about that - it clicks at the bottom of the throttle

Default Thanks. I'll give that a shot...it stands to reason that it would need to be reset...

since it's a new part entirely.

Tozo - any insight on this?

Default Just reset per instructions...seems to be having trouble upshifting at light throttle regardless of

whether or not it's on a hill or not...it feels like it's momentarily dropping out of lockup between each gear. It didn't do this prior to the new TPS. Is this expected as it learns?

You are not resetting the TPS, you are teaching the computer the new TPS value.
