Does anyone know the difference between the cluster from a '97-early '98 and one for late '98-99? The center of my cluster went out the other day and I can get the early cluster used at a reasonable price w/ warrantee but not a late cluster. Thanks in advance

Is the entire center out? Does your year have the switch to turn it off and on, that some people don't know about?
My '01 can turn off the center display, with the switch on the buttom of the wiper arm (the one that resets some display settings when held in)...If it's pressed briefly, it turns off the center display and another brief press turns it back on.
You probably know this already if yours has it, but I've been amazed at how many others don't know it does that.

My center display is trying to come on but it only has 3 lines across it and the top yellow part is dim yellow but you can't make out what it says. Tozo, I may try an older one to see if it works. I'll report back with the results if I try it. Thanks for the help guys

How would coding have been changed. It was working fine Friday afternoon and by Friday night it had died completely. I pulled cluster to check connectors and when I put it back in it only had the lines.
