Default Instrument Panel Trim Removal?

So I'm swapping out my dark S8 wood trim(anyone want the set?) for the Vavona as per the original post below and I've hit a snag. Do any of you guys that have swaped out trim know how to remove the small piece to the left of the instrument cluster and the piece above the glove box? I've got the Bentley(see picture), but what I've found isn't very clear so before I go tearing something off and kicking myself I thought I'd ask anyone whose already done it.

Does the instrument cluster have to come out to get to the piece on the left? Does the glovebox have to come out to get the one on the right? I'm hopeful it doesn't require all of that to get those two pieces swaped out, but maybe it does. Any hints to save me from tearing the car down any further?

Original Post

Pull out the heating vents and you can reach up to slide the clips sideways.

Default Ah ha...almost...

Any tool required like for the center vents or just torque away(carefully)?

And WOW! that was a quick response!

Default You can leave the center vent in, just remove the two side vents. 2 clips on the driver's side

1 on the passenger's side. Use a plastic trim removal tool.

Default I know they're not clipped, 8mm nuts I believe. I just removed my whole dash (for sale)

and saw how they were attached.

Default Yes, there is a 5mm bolt on the back (8mmsocket), but the clip slides out.

The bolt just for adjusting how far they stick out. I've removed mine a couple of times for the carbon fiber trim.

Ah, no. Turns out there is a screw only accessible from under the open glove box(or under the knee bar on the driver's side) that anchors that vent in. Torque alone wasn't working for me. At least that's the case on my 01 S8. Thanks for the feedback though. Thanks to that I was inspired to look further and actually got those two pieces swapped. Now it's time for put-it-all-back-together fun!

Default BTW, how much for the wood trim kit?

My vacation is coming up, but when I am back I will buy the back window and some other stuff if you still have it.

Default Probably around $150

Let me get all the parts together and take a look. I want to see if there are any scratches or other detractors. My preference would be to sell the whole set as a kit.

What do you mean by "back window"?
