I have a small star crack in my insulated windshield which really dosent bother me too much since it is on the passenger side. For a $50.00 deductable though, my insurance co. will replace the glass with a new OEM insulated windshield.
My question is this- Can I potentially be creating more problems with installing a new windshield (ie. leakage, wind noise) or should I just live with the star crack. Anybody have any first hand experiences with windshield replacements?
Thanks.

My business partner has the hot weather package, but his windshield has been replaced, he put the non insulated windshield in so his cell phone would work better.

However, I like the summer package. With the insulated glass and the solar roof my car never hot in the 95F Chicago's summer. It is a big plus with the leather seats.
