Yes, the car actually had all of these things before going to that dam shop.

And for those that haven't seen it already.

Default Believe it or not, you are better off without the Audi jack. It is *lethally* ...

... mis-engineered.

Many people in this forum alone have had it catastrophically fail while in use, and drop the car.

Oh, and most of those tool spaces are empty in North America anyway. They are for the A8 towing rig, which you can't buy here. Can't have A8s pulling trailers in the USA! NO WAY!

Default I was just about to transfer all the tools from my 98 but

I guess that idea is scrapped. Probably cut an opening for one of my Hydraulic jacks

Many forum members elect to purchase an aluminum floor jack.

Default I use the all steel VW Phaeton jack.

Since the Phaeton weighs 1200 lb more than an A8, I have a bit more confidence in the VW steel jack, about $80 for VW Phaeton Part # 3DO O11 031 C. Because it's not quite identical to the Audi jack, it's a very snug fit into the styrofoam compartment in the trunk. The Phaeton jack also has about 3" more lift than the Audi jack.

BTW: The <a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a8/msgs/128278.phtml">Jack Poll</a> was the 2006 most viewed D2 Forum post.

Default I'd like a stock jack....

But only to swipe the bracket off it and mount it to my floor jack. Anyone got one?

I have that same jack. Steel is much safer.

I'm unable to login to my account (to post a pic). I went thru the forqot password - request new password procedure, but I'm still unable to login.

Suggestions?
