Knew the dealer, asked for price, had a VW guy qoute it, but then the Audi guys were rip****. I also did killer on my trade in. Been 3 years, I think they still hate me for beating them at the game.
They occasionally get lo mile city Exec A8s, last one was melange (...) A8L with 11k miles or so. Went for under 40.
Mine is worth 10 now, so will keep it as long as it's worth more to drive than to scrap. Hope to find an old school 2003 A8L in 2006, or 2007. Phaetons might be cheaper to buy then, but big bucks to repair. We have these D2 cars figured out apparently!!
As I drove off after delivery, LIMP home mode happened due to engine cleaning I suppose. They fixed it, and since then not a single breakdown other than a flat tire etc...
