Just carried a 4" by 6" by 8 foot fence post in the A8L
I stuffed the fence post through the zippered hole in the ski sack, the post rested on the front armrest and I could close the trunk, no problem.
I am thinking about removing the ski sack to give my A8L more lumber carrying capacity.

Careful - ur next post may be "Help - broken armrest" or "Smashed dash" fix how to". I did this
regularly with my 5KCSTQ but was extra careful and kept lots of distance between myself and other traffic. A panic stop with double stacked 4x6 posts would have been devestating.
