Default just notice my A8 had been fix from a car accident:((

yoou think went all around the car and found nothing but bam!you finnally notice a small fix in the front right corner, the molding under the light sticking out, wonder why???I push it in place and see that the molding doesn't follow the bumper's shape.that pisses me off#$%^&!!
but now the car is bought so I'll have to live with it and get that fixed to.not much of a deal but I like my stuff to be genuine.noticed the ball joints in front are to be changed so the used car dealer made me a deal with an audi dealer to get all the parts and labor for half price. any suggestion what I should have him change or checked and fixed?an audi A8 98Q

if you have shifting/hunting issues, have them repair/rebuild the torque converter

hunting typically occurs when you are at a higher gear and need to find a lower gear for pick-up. Tranny behaves as though it can't find the 4th or 3rd gear. When you manually shift down, you get the needed juice. Many owners are experiencing the same issue and some resolved it by fixing the TC. I am sure the other members will add to this.

Default The molding issue may be easy to fix. Push the bumper down while pressing the molding back in place.

I forget where these bolts are exactly located, but I think you can see them when you lay under the front end of the car. Just loosen those just enough to shift the bumper into place.

Are you talking about the trim strips beneath the lights or the bumper cover?

You can see them if you lay on your back, they are vertically mounted into the bumper."<ul><li><a href="http://www.audipages.com/Tech_Articles/Body/frontendremoval.html">http://www.audipages.com/Tech_Articles/Body/frontendremoval.html</a</li></ul>

The trim strip secures with a couple of screws (are they missing)?

Default The trim strip under the light just pushes in buy the corner light...

with a friction fitting and a screw or two on the grill side. Dealer part is $20 , unpainted of course.
