Last night
I was parallel-parking my 99 on the street and some guy did a double-take as he walked by.
I got out and he started bending my ear about the new A3. He was surprised to learn that my 99 wasn't a 2005 - not familiar with the marque, apparently.
And I *had* just washed and waxed it.
Still, that's not an experience I ever had with my Honda.

Yes I can relate I get the same looks, stopped all the time and asked
about the car and that it looks so nice etc.. Young, old women and men both. Never had any other vehicle that got this much attention. I also love their reactions when they find out is a a 1997.. I love that about this car....
