Our problem in the USA is some Audi dealers don't know how to do special orders.
I'm not sure we (in the USA) could do special orders through Quattro GMBH, the way you can in Europe. I recall somebody posting about that on one of the other AudiWorld boards. I think it was the B5 S4 board.
A few years ago, there were S4 guys looking to order S4's in colors not available in the USA, like Achat Gray (an S4 color available in Europe). I think one person was able to order Achat Gray, for USA delivery. Other people had trouble ordering pearl white. Some people said their dealer refused to even attempt a special order.
Some of the other requests that dealers said could not be done (for the B5 S4 a couple years ago)were the Recaro seats which came in Euro B5 S4's and RS4's, and the carbon fibre trim. As far as I remember, nobody was successful in getting any USA dealer to order those (as original equipment on the car).
