2 weeks ago the instrument cluster on my '02 S8 died and with it the immobilizer. Good news its covered under warranty and they put me in a new allroad. The dealer has not committed to when the part will be in from Germany. I don't know if this is a situation where Audi in Germany is not telling the dealer the ETA of the part (if available at all)or if the dealer is just not telling me the truth. In either case I'm looking to escalate by the end of next week if I don't get a specific date for when the part will be in. Any advise on how to handle or who to call ? Perhaps there is someone in AOA that I could call to escalate.

Hi, I suffer this problem in the Uk whenever i need parts for my car.. Audi's parts shipping/times/availablity is very poor for such a prestigious and expensive car..
Considering the price you pay for any part for an A8, they should be available within a week ANYWHERE in the world imho..I had to wait 2 weeks for an Alternator, Now thats just poor dont you think?
With my Vauxhall(GM in UK) i can get any part from germany/factory within 3 working days from my dealer, Thats how it should be in my opinion
Maybe you should go above the dealer and talk to Audi direct??
Bye for now
