You're name was recommended to me by someone on the A6 forum. Said you had an "eerily similar" problem to what I've got. Said your's was eventually traced to a leaky windshield and that now you were driving an A8? I had a loud clunk in my transmission, which was followed by all the P,R,N,D...reversing in coloring(from red letters on a black background to black letters on a red background). This happened a few times and then the check engine light came on. I've been having a few other problems with the car(a 4.2) also including a distorted(looks sort of wavy) windshield, warped front rotors, a reoccuring vibration, broken middle rear seat belt, radio station drift. What happened with yours?
