Default Lower arm recalls,

Hello,

I have a 98 A8 4.2, 79,xxx miles.
Well in an effort of trying to get the code for my radio, a while back, the original dealer who sold the car said that she did notice that it was due for a recall of some sort and didn't elaborate. I was on the phone with my local dealer and he wouldn't give me any information about what it was. Can I call Audi USA and get more clarification on this, since my local dealer is a real pita, basic anwser is always bring it in, for even the most basic of questions.

yes, call Audi direct and you can get the details. Recall is subject to "inspection" though.

Default Yup, make sure it is indeed the straight, lower control arm. If they inspect it and it is something

else, you have used up your "freebie". If the straight one fails the week after, AOA will tell you too bad.

Default when was this recall posted to audi owners???

i was at the dealer last week, he didn't mention anything about recalls... he did mention my cv boot was worn and leaking... any correlation there with the 2.

Default Well its not a "recall" but a "service campaign" I think if you checked with the dealer, they

should list all available with your VIN
