A great S8 mod!
S8's are fabulous cars for what they're intended for, and hideously expensive to try to make into something else. I agree it's best to have a diversified stable, and choose the right wheels for the occasion/mood/need/desire/itch!
"But honey, it makes so much sense to keep our investments diversified...."
So, you had to do a spur of the moment, Guards Red 930 Turbo.... Lucky guy!
Guess I'll try to get even by sending you info on Ruf 5-speeds, turbo mods, and anything else inappropriate that I think of. Nice car - have fun!

Re: Mad //S8 modz...
The paint looks to be very dull. If you'd wash that thing up, you could get way more speeding tickets that you're getting now. :-) But seriously, she's a beaut. Somewhere in storage, I have an old Road & Track Porsche special with road tests of that car, but I think it was the slant-nose variant. And, like Martin Brundle would say "you've got no nannying electronics" in it. If I remember right, the 959 was the only one that even had anti-lock brakes, and drop throttle oversteer was there whenever you needed it (and for some unlucky ones, there when they didn't). It's nice to see an actual "normal" 930! That thing looks like a time warp car. Very, very impressive.

I think I have a new best friend, Paul.
The 930 has been one of my fantasy cars for a long, long time. It's desirablity was cemented when I was 16 and saw this stoopid cool movie:

Congrats you monkey!
