Mass Air Flow issues
After checking measuring block 2 for air flow reading g/sec and finding maximum reading of 126g/s at 6000rpm ( I have a 3.7L engine so reading at 80% X BHP should be 186g/sec) I therefore determined MAF was suspect. However, another reason could be blocked CATS so three exhaust "specialists" assured me CATS were OK from "hammer test", i.e. no rattle. I therefore installed a new MAF and readings were only marginally improved on one run but actually lower on second run to 6000RPM. Hence my thoughts CATS blocked seemed reasonable.
Is there any other possibility I have overlooked? And, am I correct in testing for MAF using group 2 VAGCOM readings at 6000rpm? Appreciate detailed test procedure guide so I can crack this one real soon.
