Maximum Engine Speed Exceeded P1560
I recently had the timing belt replaced on my 97 A8Q (88K) by a local reputable Indy. Shortly after I got the car back, the check engine light came on. I plugged my VagCom in and this is the engine code that came up:
17968 - Maximum Engine Speed Exceeded: Engine Warranty VOID! :-)
P1560 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
He had the car for a month and he put some miles on the car supposedly checking the brakes (one rear caliper was seized and my front brake bad warning sensor was shorted). Does this code mean that someone was driving my car above redline during my cars month long hiatus? Any ideas?
