Michelin tyre recall
I called Michelin and they say that the recall on the 20" Michelin Pilot Sports is worldwide.
My 2002 S8 has 42,000 miles and only these original tyres on the back and the spare, but when I asked, they agreed to supply four without charge to give the car a full set.
Car is going into Audi next week.
I can't complain at that service, in theory i should not need to buy new tyres for another 40,000 miles.
Will see if it helps the understear in the wet?

Re: Michelin tyre recall
I much prefer my new Pilot Sport 2's they seem to have a lot more griponce the tyres are up to temperature.
As far as size goes it is only the 255/35/20 that has the problem, and as I understand it the only cars that had that size as Standard were the Audi S8, and the Jaguar XJR.

Re: what size tyre did your car come with?
My S8 came with 20" tyres as standard, these are 255/35/20 97Y Extra Load Michelin Pilot Sports.
It looks amazing, but does understear with the present mix of tyres, will report what she is like with the brand new rubber next week.!
