Since the CarChip data logger was in Paul's car for two sessions, and one was Pobst's, I was able to compare their speeds, times, throttle position, etc to mine. At the end of the day ... Pobst ran a 1:56, Paul ran a 1:58, and I ran a 1:59. Following the track map is a comparison of speeds at key points.

Since Don in my S8 ran a 1:50 at Mid-Ohio last year and was in 4th gear (96+ mph) before braking for T3 and T13, I can only conclude that Pobst was being seriously conservative with Paul's car. Also, note that Pobst ran only two laps, one warm-up and one hot; still, I was expecting to see a 1:45.

I'm not sure that even Paul knew it was there. Paul and I had talked about it earlier, but he wasn't around when I pulled it from my car and put it in his.
