I have a 1999 A8 4.2 Quattro, fully loaded except solar sunroof, shades and phone.

It has 32000 kms, which is around 20000 miles.

I would probably get a new A8L or A6 4.2.

My question is what are these things selling for and what do you recommend I do.

We got the selling price down to 89, 420 CDN.
We put a 10,000 down payment + 1000 security deposit + first months payment + all the taxes makes it close to 15000. The residual value is 54764 and amount amortized is 24656.

Our lease payment is 1141 after taxes which make it 41076 paid during the 36 month term.

My question is, a friend of mine would like to buy it. He wouldn't mind taking over the lease then buying it. What should I ask him to pay me? Or any ideas..

One of your earlier posts spoke of a Tip problem. Wonder if your dealer fixed it or if that frustration is causing you to think about selling?

Ya that is not my reason for selling. They fixed that. One of my friends just bought a A6 4.2 and it is very nice. I am undecided, maybe an A8L, A6 4.2, S8?..

I love my A8 don't get me wrong, I just like changing my cars when a newer model comes out.
