With less than 500 miles on your clock, you will get a completely new one and if you have 500+ youll get a factory "reconditioned unit". I dont saee a connection between your MMI problems and the battery charging. Mine was hovering around 50% until the "batterymanager" was replaced. its now at 100%. We are told that between 60-80% is normal. Let us know what your dealer says about your MMI. Then we`ll get you the "real" answer!

the dealer did a software upgrade via the VagCom.
Take it back to the dealer...they will see the error codes and update your software.

What I enjoy most is how much fun A8L owners have swapping out parts and upgrading them.
