MMI startup screen
It will be interesting to see how quickly someone hacks a software patch for the MMI that allows you to bypass the annoying legal disclaimer screen that you have to 'accept' each time you start the car. I only used this during a test drive but was already annoyed by the time I was done. Would be interested to hear if Potsie, Helper, or Dinan has an opinion on whether this 'feature' is as annyoying to them in everyday use. Not sure if AoA would be involved in developing a software patch since Audi lawyers demanded its original inclusion, but hope someone will develop one even if it's in the secondary market

Already have my Audi tech on this...although
I'm not holding my breath, he claims he will look into it and see if he can find a way to disable and also be able to play movies while moving.

Re: MMI startup screen...and the legal mumbo jumbo....
I've got the same screen message on my allroad which has the Alpine Nav system. As far as someone writing a patch, I'm sure it can be done, but after a while, it ends up being as mundane a task as having to turn the key in the car. The Alpine Nav unit requires all programming and setup to be done with the emergency brake up and can not be changed with the car in motion....a pain in the ****!

Re: MMI startup screen
MB, I have the same disclaimer on my Acura RL and after a while one kind of forgets about it. You must be on pins and needles at this point!!! Be well.

Re: MMI startup screen
BMW Nav System has it as well. Part of the start up routine when I drive my wife's X5 is to push the Nav button that moves to the next screen. It's almost automatic now. So far no one at BMW sites has found a way around it.

Re: MMI startup screen
I've had my car about two weeks now and I no longer notice the message. I've gotten into the habit of hitting the MMI button just after I put the car in gear. I don't even think about it anymore.
