I have a 2001 A8L and love it. I'm sure the L was available in 2000....not sure exactly its first year. Check out used Audi listings at audiusa.com and see how far back you can find an L. Good luck.

Yes but the serial numbers for the 2000 A8's & L's were the same.
Ie, both type serial numbers started with WAUFL in 2000, not WAUML like the 2001 A8L serial numbers. Makes it hard to find them without looking at the tail end on eBay cars for example...
