So, I take the car to my real mechanic this AM for the Accel Wty certification and he reports that uhmm gee, theres oil seapage around the drain plug, oil is overfilled and not cleaned up around the oil filter.
I brought the car into Schaumburg a few weeks ago figuring that an oil change would be pretty hard to screw up. What happens, they prolly dont replace the crush washer, put too much oil in and are very sloppy. At least they remembered to put the oil in.
And for this type of customer care they charge 99 bucks an hour.
Sure have a nice building and cafe though.
Fortunately I have the Fumoto oil drain valve to install for next time and in the future will do this myself and wont be the subject to further exploitation.
Thanks for listening. Now I feel better![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

And, like always, you get what you incent your employees to do! The whole dealer mechanic pay structure (pay per job not per hour) is going to have to change for the sloppy and plain bad workmanship to stop. The mechanics get the job done just as fast as they possibly can, and there is seemingly NO quality control or post-job inspections being done by the supervisors, or if they are they are idiots too. I stay away from the monkey lads like the plague!!!

... you mention where you took your car. I'm having reservations with the last work done on mine by the same team (under warranty), I will have to bring it in again. Seems quality has gone down.
Basically, they made my decision for me on buying out the lease. I don't want my current example anymore, I will shop for a different one.

Try going to Continental Audi, request for Matt Tomlinson to work on the car. He's a good tech, clean, takes pride in his work, will take car of your car. He's also a really nice guy to deal with, knows the cars. Continental also isn't as busy as the other dealers. And tell him Wendy says hello!
