My A8 was stolen last night.
They broke into my locker at the YMCA and took my wallet, watch, and keys. Then they proceded to go out to the parking lot and steal my car. I can't even imagine what they are doing to the car right now. F*cking Bottomfeeders!

I would almost hope that they total it so you get the insurance money for it. Who knows how
its been abused. Man I feel really bad for you. I have never had this happen to me before but I can only imagine a fraction of your anger right now.

I have LoJack, it was in the car from the original owner.
Just the piece of mind is worth it.
Well that and the fact that i should be able to trace my car from the car computer if it ever gets close to any wireless hub

I know your feelings - 10 years ago I lost '92 a100q very same manners. Since that
I always install independent immobilizer.
My A8q has a system which not allowed start the engine without special chip in my pocket. Its look like credit card. I carry that card always in different place from car's keys.
Even if thiefs rush in working motor car and throw out me, for my safety reason motor will work until thiefs not press gas pedal. If they press one and start moving car, after 30 second
system starts imitation of bad work - when press gas - motors tried to stop, depress gas - motor working normal.
Checked that algoritm sometimes, when dealer took car for service and I forgot about this system.

Sorry to hear about your loss. I've had 5, yep, count-em, 5
cars stolen from me so I know how you feel. Needless to say, I now know everything you need to know about dealing with the insurance companies, so e-mail me off post if you want any help with that. Statistics suggest they will probably find your car within 4 or 5 days, albeit not unscathed.
