Casey,

Please share with us the recovery story. Lesson to all of us as to how we might want to avoid the same trouble. I spend a lot of time on the road at different YMCA's. Where are you located? Which YMCA?

Sorry! They are rare cars so it should be easier to steal. Maybe they stole it for the transmission, they were too cheap to pay $10k to the dealer. Maybe they will find your car on the street with the tranny missing.

Seriously, you must feel invaded. Maybe the gym can locate a camera with people breaking into your locker or run a report of everyone in the club and you go through the 100+ names. Good luck and I would be at that gym going through the database with everyone in the club for the two to three hour period. It should not be hard to find.

Default Not lojack, but many high end alarms that would have rendered it UNDRIVEABLE. Sorry for your loss!!!

Best of luck with the end results.

I just feel terrible about that. I have no clue what I would do if anyone touched my car that way....

How? They had the keys for the car. Why would the alarm trip?

Default Many ways, I installed many hidden swtiches ( really hidden, under false panels ) that would ...

... trigger the alarm when it was not pressed before the ignition was turned to on. That would trigger a remote ( yes NOT wired to the alarm at all, so it is impossible to trace ) fuel cut relay. The list goes on and on. I have installed systems for the most paranoid people I have ever met. Sometimes being paranoid is nice.

Bottom line, there is a way to stop ANYONE even with your key from starting your car without your knowledge of the system within.

I feel terrible for your loss, and I wish you the best of luck for a safe return. If you want some ideas to prevent any chance it will happen again, send me an email and we can work together to design a system that meets your needs, and keeps your car safe. Some of it easy enough any DIY can make it work.

Cheers,

Default Think I would ever let someone drive any of my cars? NO. BUT, if I were, there is a work around ...

.. for that as well.

Honestly, there are no scenerios you can throw at me that a customer already hasn't. I never say "its impossible", and I refuse to let anyting without an IQ beat me.
