The car : 1997 A8 4.2q 157,000 mi
The problem : misfire on the #4 cyl
I've switched out the spark plugs, switched out the coil pack and #4 is still not firing. At the time it happened I had a 1/8 tank of fuel so I went and put a half tank in and nursed it home. Went out about 3 hrs later and it ran fine with the CEL on. The next day no CEL, no misfire, later that night got in and misfire returned and the CEL. Any thoughts or input would be appreciated.

"Always Overcharged" has a good thread on it. But you will need to understand New Zealandese.

https://forums.audiworld.com/a8/msgs/151566.phtml</a

the misfire moved from #4cyl to the #3cyl. coincidently they are on the same pin #2 when you swap em.
