Went by my local dealer on Sunday and was surprised to see they had a new A8 on the lot. It was still partly covered in shipping plastic. It was black with beige interior and it had the 18" wheels. Sticker was just over $75K. It was very elegant and stylish, especially the interior. I also like the way the exhaust pipes are exposed to give it a sporty purposeful look. All in all it looks great! Now if Audi can just get people to get out to see and drive it they may sell a few. It will be an uphill battle as Americans are so status conscious at the price point of the A8 they automatically go for the Mercedes or BMW badge without even shopping Audi. Thats why I think the Phaeton with its VW badge is doomed.

Has anyone else seen one at their dealer, or better yet, on the road? If so, what did you think? Will Audi be able to sell more than the old A8?

I have already seen about 5 new Audi A8 cars on the road here in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. They look amazing!

By the way, according to what I have seen here in Dubai so far, the new Audi A8 is selling MUCH better than the previous Audi A8.

The one I saw is just like it except for the rims on the pictures you posted look like the 19". Plus, I saw the A8 at a dealer a looong way from Tacoma. Maybe the black/beige combo will be on a lot of the first cars shipped over.
