No problem, just cut it's head off.

Oil cooler now done, lets check the new TB and water pump while the front is off. Crap. WP gasket failed.

Ok, lets pull the pump (tozo style), clean and prep the surfaces, and make a new gasket from bule RTV.

When I did the water pump on my wife's A6 I had only channel locks, but today I am ready for any job, I've got me 4 wise grips

I got 40 minutes in to the oil cooler repair and decided the +600 at the stealer maybe ain's so bad all things considered.
