Nav system not working

I have a 2000 with the factory nav, I noticed it's not coming on when I try to invoke it. Does anyone know if the nav system shuts down during real cold temperatures? It's about 20 degrees here in Cincy. I tried to eject the CD in it, but it just sat there and looked at me. If it doesn't shut down, does anyone know how to re-boot it?
Thanks,

If its the same CD that you've always had there should be no reason that it would not work. The CD drive can be a little sticky. Hold the eject button down for a few seconds and see if it spits out the disc. If its dark out check to see if you have lighting around the CD drive. (the eject button and the area around the CD loader should be lit up in red) if its pitch dark then you might have a popped fuse check that next. Do you get any messages on your Nav when you try to turn it on? Like "Check CD Drive" etc? Does it bring anything up? You can try to turn off the car and turn it back on. The drive could have gone bad too. If anyone else drives the car make sure they didnt take the disc out at some point. Way to check if a disc is infact in there, is try to put one in. Do this at your own risk. Grab any old CD music, blank cd whatever. try to slowly insert it, if the cd drive doesn't grab it or you get resistance it means you definatly have a cd in the drive. DONT FORCE IT.

There is 2 plugs in the rear of the unit, one a bit larger. I removed the smaller one that owers the unit(the one on the bottom), waited about a minute, plugged it back in and everything worked. Interesting. Thanks...
