Hello All:

I'm getting ready to sell my A8, but I don't really know what I should be asking for it. I was wondering if you all could shed some light as to a fair selling price. I kept it in good shape and all the service is current, including the major timing belt service which I performed at 112,399 miles at a qualified Audi shop. It is a 2000 dark green (Racing Green Pearl Effect) A8 4.2Q with tan leather interior. It is not the L model. It has about 128,000 miles on it, new tires, brakes, fresh state inspection. It runs and shifts great. I travel on the highway all the time so that is why the miles. It does have some chips on the hood from regular highway stones, but that is it. It has Navigation (C-NAVI), solor sunroof, Xenon, Park Assist, everything but ESP. Book value at KBB says like $15,700, but I know cars don't sell for what the Internet lists. What is the fair market price I should sell it for? Your advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Autotrader and E-bay completed listings will give you an idea.I've recently sold both my BMW540 and Audi A6, in excellent condition with all the records from day one and an average mileage, for the exact KBB private party ( excellent condition ) value. The 2001 A8L recently bought from a dealer in excellent condition with 29,000 miles it cost me $5000 less than KBB private party value, I hope all this info can give you an idea.
