Need advice: Transmission has lost first gear and needs replacing
Hi all,
I've been an A8 1997 Q owner for about two years. Excellent experience. I bought it at about 120,000 miles now at 160,000. Everything works and it is an incredible car. I bought it for $7,500. Question is what to do now. It a "used" transmission a good idea with the known issues or a rebuilt one. Or try to sell it as is. Or part it out.
I love the car but am not sure best option. I'm waiting for quotes from the local repair shop ( I trust them based on past experience.)

I am already saving up for my Tozo'd $3500 fix when mine goes. Cars are
too nice to just junk, and beside they don't rust! They just nickel/dime us to death!
