Default Need some Help with somebody with MFSW

Basically, I think anybody with an 00 and newer car with a MFSW. Maybe somebody already has a picture of this....

However, I have everything all set for my retrofit, but there is a 2 pin connector at the top of the self cancelling ring that is on the car side (stationary side) of the wiring harness. I do not have the 2 pin connector for it, but I do have repair wires that I can just slide on the contacts. The self cancelling ring IS NOT marked with "1" and "2" that I can see. So I need to figure out which is ground and which is power.

One wire will be brown (ground), one will be power (black/red). My steering wheel has no connector there because it's not multi funciton and heated.

It's the top two pin connector here:

Here is the schematic:

And the correct cancelling ring was the AL suffix:

I was able to take the top cover off by undoing the two Phillips head screws (number 8), but I did not get it back on yet, at least easily. I know if you took the steering wheel off, you could get it back on easy. Maybe somebody already has a picture or an idea.

Here is a picture of my 2001 A8L with factory equipped MFSW. Brown wire is nearest turn signal stalk.

@ PaulW
First off, congratulations!!!
I am retrofitting the MFSW, too.

Do you still have the circuit diagram and the information where you connected the cables incl. the plugs and so?

May I kindly ask you mail me those?

Thank you!
