Default Re: I tracked the thread on that, but my tracked threads are wiped out

Paul,

Good to see you back from Florida, If you do a search for "oil cooler", the thread will come up. The following is the shortcut. Sorry I haven't posted a link before and the following doesn't look as if you can click it.

Default The torque support rubber looked to be in excellent condition, and was still completely....

attached to the metal bits. If the mount needed replacement, it would be a relatively painless procedure. (No need to remove the TB cover to replace it.)

Default I'm about to ask the dealer to replace mine soon, so I want to gather some info.

I hope that they will just replace it as my engine movement is excessive...

Default Once the bond between the rubber damper and the metal base is broken, replacement is the only option

My guess is in your case one of two things has occurred- the damper has delaminiated and must be replaced, or another possibility is that the passenger side TB cover has shifted and created a gap between the damper and the cover mount. The best way to check this is to remove the top bolt from the damper that holds it to the TB cover, and check for any gap between the cover and the damper. If there is more than a 1/8" gap, then the cover has shifted or the damper is really messed up. When they replace the damper, make sure that the gap is checked and is OK.
