Default the new A8L

i went to a dealer for a test drive and i came away impressed..the dealer gave me a quote of about 950 per month for a 39month lease, 12000 mile lease, no down payement
then another dealer told me to expect about 1200-1300..so i was wondering what a reasonable price is and why such the difference?

I have my dealer working on a 42 month, 12,000 mile/yr, nothing down lease on a car with ONLY the following options: 19" wheels, double-pane glass, cold weather pkg. Money rates change as of Saturday and I`ll post the results. I am figuring about $1070/mo.

Default security glass - why?

why do you want the security glass? i kinda don't get it.

yes, it's stronger, but it's still glass, right?

yes, it'll help regulate temperature a bit better, but as soon as you open a door to run an errand or roll down a window at a tollbooth it kinda effectively nullifies the value, doesn't it?

any guidance appreciated - the dealers have not been able to explain the point of this to me.

is it wildly QUIETER? that's never come up in discussion.

doody.

Default double glass is standard on old A8s for soundproofing

My 00 A8 had it, and my 01 A8L had it.

Its not wildly quieter but it's noticable when a large vehicle passes by. I also think the setup is better thermally than single pane.

Dood, I was told that there is a difference in the noise attenuation between the regular glass and the double-pane issue. Plus, I wanted to tint the glass but with my luck,, I`d be stopped by the cops right away! So I figure with double -pane, it would appear darker.

Default What about 1st month, acq. fee, tax, and tags? WAIVED?

I'll share my "cost". Window sticker was $75,840 and came with the following:
Lanch Convenience Package 2
18" Wheels W/All Season Tires
Cold Weather Package
Front Seat Massage
Front are Rear Parktronic
Security Glass
Rear Seat Lumbar Adjustment

I leased this vehicle for 36 months/15K miles and my payments are $1026 with 1st month, acq. fee, tax, and tags - no security deposit since I financed my last Audi wth AF. The sale price of the car $73,340 with a 60% residual (I think Audi is on crack by the way giving such high residual on 3year 15K per month).

Good luck on your purchase!

Default Good Luck! remember, if I got them to discount $2500

so can anyone, IMO! BTW, the 19's are absolutelty gorgeous but my car came with 18's so I'll have to deal with it. I think I will just throw som GoodYear F1 in 265/40/18 all around...I hope it won't rub.

Make sure that the offsets match on the 18`s. Also, Audi will have to recalibrate the car once you put the 18`s on(different circumferences). Should be about a half hour labor charge.
