Default new code this week... 16705...... and vag-com won't clear 'em

the car seems to be running well except it giving me 2faults:

16705-- Engine Speed Sensor (G28): Implasible Signal
----P0321 - 35-10 --- Intermittent

17688-- Air control valve for injection valve
Through-flow too small
----P1280 - 35-00

i tried to clear the codes, then the darn Vag-Com said something like "professional interface needed" and it would NOT clear the codes???

what's with the codes, and why is my vag-com suddenly not wanting to clear the codes???

Default I hope you will check with Ross-Tech and report back...

my guess is that they would be sensitive to their product telling people who bought it that it won't do what they expect it to be able to do.

one of the major advantages of the VAG cars is the public software. I notice that Consumer Reports, May 2008, had Audi way down the list of dealer quality for repair satisfaction and VW was dead last. Acura and Lexus were at the top followed by Scion, an inexpensive car.

Default It sounds like you are trying to use the "Clear All DTC's" button in AutoScan:

"If you are not using a HEX Interface then you'll need to go into each module that has faults to clear them individually."<ul><li><a href="http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/tour/autoscan.html">http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/tour/autoscan.html</a</li></ul>
