New floor mats have arrived from the Fatherland.
I ordered these from Germany awhile ago, had some challenges w/ vendor payment, communication, etc. but they finally showed up yesterday, and I am quite pleased w/ the quality.

They have the fasteners to connect to the stock Audi posts, and a nice heel pad as well.

Even the rubber backing seems to be of very high quality- they'll have to wait until Spring to get installed. Still the middle of winter here in Colorado!

Had been looking that these on eBay. Very nice! My interior is ecru, but these would be a nice contrast. Thanks for the picts!

I say use them as templates and make new mats out of that nice rug under them.
You'll be the only guy in town with such a ritzy interior. Of course, then you'll have to get some silk slippers to wear while driving to keep from damaging the mats:

Then, of course, people will begin to talk. I have many ideas, Jim. I freely admit that this may not be one of the best ones. But I like to offer them up to the world and let the world decide.
Let us know which way you go.

There are plenty of nice fellows who could design a proper interior around the rug.
Champagne silk headliner, some nice brocade seating, turban to match -- you could be the Sultan of S, man! I'm glad you're open to the possibilities, anyway -- there's too much conventional thinking in the automotive world.
As I always say, "Ask yourself how Shaq would do it. Then quadruple that. Then take a nap. If it still seems like a good idea after the nap, check yourself into a mental hospital immediately."
